Ricky Chavis acquitted

Ive been behind on the news, and I just found out that Chavis was acquitted of child molestation on wednesday. I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, Im upset because I believe he is guilty and find it difficult to understand how he was acquitted. On the other hand, Im relieved that a jury was able to come to an unbiased (though probably wrong) conclusion. I expected Chavis to be found guilty of anything he is charged with after the amount of press coverage his case had gotten. I also expected him to get the book thrown at him by the judge. Only one of those things happened though (the judge gave him the maximum for the charge he was found guilty of). What a mess this whole case has been. Chavis is still facing up to 10 years in prison for accessory after the fact and has already been sentenced to 5 for false imprisonment (any more time and he'll be doing as much time as the people who actually murdered Alex's father). I have so many mixed thoughts on this case, Im wondering how you all feel. I personally feel he shouldve been found guilty of child molesting and given a sentence near the lower ranges due to the lack of force involved in his crimes.
