Greetings, Ron. I hate these flamewars where the facts and figures are all out and flying about, so I'll just stick to what I know. Imagine, Ron, that when you were young, you discovered an attraction to other boys. You know that it's wrong, so you ask for help from an older friend who you have come to trust. The older friend takes full advantage of you, and rapes you, leaving you with an empty feeling of betrayal. You learn and grow. All your parents talk about and all he church talks about is how much they hate homos and that little incident with Sodom and Gomm..gomhor.. the other place, is no comfort. You are alone. You are gay. You are scared. You learn and grow. You try to change your ways, reasearching all the books about it in the library (those you could understand), and even forcing yourself to go on dates with girls. You pray, and believe so hard that God will change you and make you normal. But you remain as you were. You learn and grow. Your begin to see only one way out - the way that society is driving you to. You begin to change eventually, yes. Your friends are afraid of you. You have no friends. The night is your life. The world holds no beauty. Fumes and powder and needles take the place of the god that leads your parents, friends, family, school, church - the god that failed you, and failed with you. You learn and grow. You are a mistake, an animal, a beast, a demon. Doomed to burn in the flames of hell forever. You train yourself not to care. You know that you'll die eventually, as does everyone else. So why wait in this world of pain. But also, why not? You learn and grow. You think you can see a way to make this world worth living in - revenge. You look at those who rejected you. Those who think they know all things. Who is really blind, you or them? Remove them from this world, after all, they'll go to heaven - so they keep telling you. If heaven is their domain, then this world is yours. If you are to burn for eternity, then why not make life WORTH burning for? Why not kill the innocent, along with their children? Why not rape? Why not obey your Satanic urges? Screw the world, and make it a better place. You learn and grow. Now, Ron. Imagine that you were one arms length away (less, if you count the knife) from turning this nightmare into a reality. Imagine that a boy - the object of your lust, the reason for your damnation, the face that haunts your nights, your first victim - shows you love that you don't have sought for so long. The love that has nothing to do with sex, and everything to do with trust. The love you never knew existed. The love you don't deserve. What then, Ron? What do you do? Kill? Rape? Destroy the first thing you've seen in an age that actually makes the world beautiful? I think not, Ron. You think that our dicks may plug the door of salvation, but at least we know where it is.
