well, that seems to be the overwhelming sentiment of the board - to do an exclusively BL project. However, that theme isn't what piqued my interest to write a script, buy a camera, and make a movie. To me, it doesn't matter if an exclusively BL movie would 'be rejected by the masses'. I could care less about what the masses think. Most of my work attack the mass opinion is - that is a major motivation for me: to attack what people at large think. I don't think anyone understands what a boylover is. I certainly didn't, coming onto this board. After talking with people here and on othter boards, i can understand it as a sexual orientation because people have described that they've always felt this way, despite the fact nothing abusive or 'bad' happened during their childhood. Again, I may not have the motivation to BE a BL, but i've been willing to listen. Society doesn't know what you are. It's just a fact. If I try to explain what a BL is, everyone is just going to say, 'well that's a pedophile'. I don't need to tell you society has their own version of what a pedophile is. I wish to attack that, but attacking it by making a main character a BL isn't going to be affective, in my opinion. It's really introducing (to the masses) a TOTALLY NEW TYPE OF PERSON THAT THEY'VE NEVER DEALT WITH. They will label BL's as their definition of pedophile, and seek to make a judgement based on what they know. What *I* intend to do is attack their pre-made judgement, or prejudice if you will. I am going to take the pedophile that they know, and show that even this sorry soul is a human being under pain. Listen, I'm sorry to say this, but you're not going to be accepted any time soon. I think that's why many of you have given up on society. Your generation just won't accept you. That's it. I want to shove their prejudice in their face and show that they are judging quite harshly a type of person that does not deserve harsh treatment, but helpful treatment instead. I want them to feel sorry for the character. I want them to see the character as a human being instead of a monster. Basically, i'm not going to do a BL story. It's really just not a story i'm interested in telling right now. I'm motivated to tell people they are wrong, instead of introducing a new type of person to them and saying 'accept them'.
