Im not sure which posts you are reffering to, I must have missed them. So its great that I now have a chance to express my views on this topic.

Personally, I do believe in honesty. It is difficult to be honest with the people around you when you know that you cant reveal certain parts of your life. Therefore, I dont feel that I am honest with those around me as much as I would like.

However, I do have friends whom I came to know through the internet and with whom I can be 100% honest. To me, this is great because I hate lies and deception and its a dream come true to have someone with whom I can talk about anything and not hold things back. However, it also leads to problems. It seems that people are not ready for honesty, they are accustomed to half-truths and sugar coated honesty. When honesty is given to them in a raw form, they dont seem to handle it very well. Then there is the opposite problem. When I find out someone with whom I have been 100% honest has held things back from me, I get angry and find it difficult to listen to reason, even when it turns out they werent holding things back from me alone but also from themselves.

I wish that 100% honesty was a viable option. I am an honest person inside and yearn for the ability to be honest on the outside as well. But as Ive been learning, it isnt a viable option. If you are 100% honest you will create problems and you may lose your friends. I guess the world is just not ready for that. I wish it were, but it seems it isnt.
