Yeah, that's the normal argument. The problem is that the same thing could be said for some 19 year olds, and not said for some 17 year olds. There is nothing magical that happens at a particular age to make some ready for sex, and some people that are only a few years apart are split into raper and rapee by the law when they are both just as guilty. I think that it is sinful to have sex outside of marriage, but that the law should come in when someone is clearly using their position to push someone into it. This not only includes age difference, but also like a boss pressuring his employee. I don't know about lowering the age of consent, but maybe changing the whole way they decide if it is rape would be best. Of course, it'd be hard to come up with a good test, except in obvious cases (like a 3 year old). Just how I see it.
