Hi XP,
I'm sorry to hear you've become the victim of prejudices, as it would seem. Sometimes other Christians just don't get it, that the gospel takes power in every part of our lives, even the parts that others can't relate to like our sexuality.
Just wondering, when you identify yourself as gay, do you mean you're just attracted to other males, or that you accept a gay sexual relationship as being OK before God and so was in fact in one? Sorry if it's a dumb question. I guess what I mean is that if you're in a gay relationship, then I suppose their action is to be expected, even if it hurts. But if they have removed you just because of your feelings, when you agree not to turn those feelings into actual sexual action, then I think they are being plain hypocritical and are themselves denying the power of God to act through a believer.

Take comfort knowing how much you mean to the children. The good you've done for them won't be forgotten.
