Hi d, Thanks for your insights. I liked the analogy between you and your pastor. I had to make the same distinction between myself and my youth when I was a youth pastor. I tried not to show favoritism, instead, I let them be involved in a way that best suited thier gifts. Some wanted to help with music or sound, others led small groups, others were perfectly happy helping to clean up afterwards. They became an active part of the youth group; there is a verse that states be all things to all people that I basically used to apply to my method of ministry. I hope to be as effective in teaching young children. God Bless, Oliver |
