Ben, if you meant: Does God really expect people to make babies just as a mechanical act, and never enjoy it? from way back in this thread, then I suppose I can respond with, "I don't think so!"

And I don't think that God expects everyone to make babies. And I don't think either that God expects everyone to refrain from sex except when there is an intention to make babies.

I think that what you really wanted to know though is what is sex in the plan of things and how does that plan play out in the relationships and lives of boylovers and loved boys!

But those questions I'll leave for another time! Actually, I think we've been addressing them, if not directly, in many of the threads on this board over the past several months.

Seems to me that current societal formulations, structures and controls and human nature get in the way of simple answers. And the apparent confusion is inherent in the complexity of the problem. Can we really "know" the full answer, or all the answers?

Back to 1 Corinthians 13.8-13: We will come to a time and place in our lives where all our knowledge and understanding is ineffective, then what we have left is the power of faith, hope and love, and the most powerful and the most effective of these is love!

So why not start with love, since all else fades away anyway!

Then I suppose love is the answer when sex is the question!

Makes sense to me! I suppose it just confuses everyone else, though!

Especially when it comes down to, "How?"

Ray
