Gods Mysterious Ways

Greetings all! Well, after my last post here over a month ago(regarding my FTF Site) I did alot of praying and soul searching. As many of you know I decided to continue on with the site.(For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, please see waaaay below "Your Opinion Please"-hopefully it is still there). Well, as my header states, God works in mysterious ways. For the last several weeks I have been exchanging emails with a German Director and his liasion. After many deliberations I am happy to announce that one of our kids, "Buffboy", has been chosen to play in a new German TV series shooting in May. He will play the American "street kid" who frequents a German youth Center(sort of a mix between MTV's "Real World" and "Beverly Hills 90210"). It is a real blessing for this kid who comes from a struggling family of 10. But the hard thing is this-neither his mom or dad can accompany him to Germany. The mom is expecting a new child and dad works full time. So that leaves you know who to step in. This also means a drastic change in my ministry-because there is really no one to take my place at our Chapel. And I dont say that because I am so great, but unfortunately the way we have had to run the ministry has made it a one man show. There is no one in our mother church who is willing to pastor an all kid church with all that entails-picking the kids up, taking them home, providing a place for them to hang out, etc., So there are some heavy decisions I need to make within a short period of time. I would appreciate your prayers, but please dont lament the situation, this is a good thing! I am very happy for Buffboy and I have told him I would do anything to see him get out of the ghetto. Perhaps this is God calling me to the mat. Yes there are other kids to think about, but if I can at least get one out, I can come back for the others(figuratively speaking). Sorry for the long post. I feel sort of selfish that I only post haphazardly, and then all about me, me, me. Your patience and prayers are coveted!! God bless, Pastor Tim |
