Lenny sounds like he was a real nice fellow. That interesting how you said you were in love but not in a "heated, romantic" way. I've heard said about stable couples that they are not the ones that are all soppy all over each other. They have a quiet air of companionship and familiarity. They don't "need" to be holding hands 24 hours a day. Funnily enough, with the girlfriend I last had a couple of years ago, people said they thought they saw this air of secure familiarity about us (actually I think it was just that I was already getting bored of her ;) ) That sure was a classic pick-up line, "smile, you look too serious". BTW, seems to me Tygyr is too serious most of the time. Have you ever tried it on him ?? :) How many years ago was it that you met over the newspaper? How many years older was he than you? Love, Fod |
