Genesis tells us that what God created was good. That doesn't necessarily mean that it stayed that way. Adam was not created perfect. He was created innocent, but as soon as he was tried, he sinned, and became guilty. And because we came from him we inherit his guilt. Jesus was not created perfect. He was created innocent, but was MADE perfect because He did not fall to temptation. Hebrews 5:8-9 "Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered; and being MADE perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all that obey Him;.." If Jesus had failed, we would have had nowhere to turn. We must not take what He accomplished for granted. He was tempted by the same Satan who tempted Adam. |
