Yes I suppose you're right, Andy. Jesus' death was real, ie more than physical death, he was actually separated from God the Father, this being true Death.

But of course God the Father did not die when Jesus was separated from him by sin.

I guess I was speaking more poetically than truthfully when I said God would die. I shudder to think what would have been the consequences if Jesus had been unfaithful to the Father's will.

Do most people think God can die? I don't. I only put it that way as the seemingly best way of expressing what Jesus' disobedience would mean.

BTW about cloning females. It seems to me that is possible. If it works for sheep then why not, biologically speaking, for humans? All it would be is an identical twin (genetically identical). Now I still don't really think sin is transferred literally through the genes themselves, but in the case of cloning I think sin would be transferred with the same genes. You might say that the same genes came from the original girl's father, so he is still responsible for the clone's genes (and sinfulness). So that answers my own question about cloning females.
