Yes He does (rock!). My first "major" Christian concert was Degarmo & Key back in the late '80s or early '90s. I was an usher. Way cool. My favorite song I've heard in concert by the original artist is Randy Stonehill's "Rachel Delaverious" (spelling?) about a girl who was an social outcast who (really) was in Randy's elementary school for a time. As an adult, they met again (I think a friend of her's attended one of Randy's concerts, he told the story on a Christian radio station). The key line which I can relate to (having grown up a nerd, at least at the age Rachel was in the song): "Rachel Delaverious, we knew that she would never be one of us...." Hmm, wonder how many people in the online BL community could relate to that song? -d (david_tx on IRC) |
