prayer request

hey guys, i got a prayer request for anyone who would be willing. i am leaving in two days for my summer job. in this job, i will be working and living closely with many boys, with little supervision. (by the by, i am the one in charge, so that hardly counts as supervision...heheh) i would greatly appreciate prayer over the course of this summer. i believe that God has taken the last year or so to teach me how to relate to boys that i meet in a truly Godly way. i work with kids and meet many boys fairly regularly, and the friendships i have made this last year have been incredible. however, this summer, things will change a little bit. i will not only be working with the boys, but in a living situation with them as well. as a boylover, this presents a slight bit of a quandary for me. i need to be careful to keep up Godly relationships with the boys...which is not always the easiest thing for me to do. i know that i have had my share of boys that i wish i had acted differently with. i hope and pray that this summer i might be a true example of Christ-like living for these boys. (it is a Christian facility, BTW...heheh, that is a plus) i know that it will be difficult and tiring, but as always, the rewards of many new friends and the privilege of seeing a child discover the Lord will outweigh any cost to me. another thing on my mind is the fact that i will be offline for the whole summer. i have come to value the time i spend meeting fellow boylovers on the Web. it has been a great thing to be able to speak freely of my true self here, when i could never do this in public. i hope that in the absence of a supportive community such as this one, i can continue to behave appropriately and in a christ-like manner. if anyone would be willing to pray for me once or twice a week this summer, i would greatly appreciate it. i am going offline this friday, so i'll see y'all in the fall....with lots of great stories, i hope! thanks...for everything scott |
