Hi Lawless, I read your message and first of all I would like to welcome you to CBF. I must confess that I had a little bit of trouble understanding your post so perhaps if you can clerify a little bit we may be able to answer your questions. You mentioned being "half drunk". Please don't take this the wrong way because I only want to help you if I can, but do you think you might have a drinking problem? If so, I can tell you from my own experience (I am a recovering alcoholic, myself) that it is very difficult (if not impossible) to "get in touch" with God while still drinking. He will hear and listen to your prayers, of course, but you will probably miss His reply. I found that drinking did much to harm my spirituality. Please stick around and see what we are all about here. If you are a boylover and a Christian (or one or the other), this can be just the place for you.
