I agree with Ben in principle; the statements from faith communities on pedophilia that seem strongest to me are the ones that ground themselves firmly in faith principles rather than borrowing their language solely from secular sources. My only concern is that the previous sentence says basically the same thing; the paragraph would thus read: ". . . so that their relationships with boys are beneficial and honor God. We are strictly opposed to any treatment of children which is contrary to the love that God intends us to have for them. . . ." Is that too repetitive? If not, the addition seems fine to me. Heather |
