I'm the resident non-Christian here. They just let me stay so they can say they have a spiritually balanced board. You know, one of those civil liberties things. :) Yes, there are a lot of people who feel like you do...not just here but all over the net and some don't always get to stumble across boards like this that can help them to understand their feelings. This board can be slow at times but, if you bear with it, it will help. And you're going to get a lot of differing opinions...no doubt of that, but everyone means well and they wouldn't bother if they didn't care so... First crack at an opinion from the resident non-Christian (oh goodie!): Believe me, I've tried that alcohol and drug route myself. They are nothing but temporary solutions. The problems which make you drink and do drugs will still be there when you finally come down. Like a lot of the people I've met who are having the same problems, you seem to be confusing love with sex. Merely loving, being attracted to someone is not a sin. The sin is in the act. You know what I think? I think that if Jesus was here today and standing there in front of you, he would ask you: "Is love a sin?" To which you would hopefully reply: "No." "Have you committed sins of the flesh?" Again, hopefully: "No." "Then why, brother, do you feel pain for so great a love as yours?" You will probably find no answer. He would smile. "Go, brother, and spread the gospel of love to my brethren; for, only one who has overcome the sins of the flesh can spread the TRUE gospel of love."
