If I were you, I'd just put the events at BoyChat behind you. Obviously, you've entered into some disagreements over there; since it seems you like this board, why don't you just post here without worrying about what has happened in the past? (Remembering Luke 6:37 and John 8:7 might be a good idea too.) I read your post about your decision to talk with your young friend's father about his behavior – that sounds like a good idea to me. If he was behaving this way only when he was around you, you might be in a difficult situation, but since he's doing it in front of his parents it does sound as though he's testing the limits of how far he can go. Kids are like that, and I think you're right that his parents should be the ones to decide what is acceptable behavior on his part. Heather |
