The "interpretation" of the Word of God should come from promptings from the Holy Spirit, not from Milton, or C.S. Lewis, or Dante, etc. While there are many great writers which thoughts and opinions of a Christian nature (C.S. Lewis is by far my favorite), it is not their interpretation or philosophy that really matters. It is the "truth", and the "truth" comes to the individual through asking God to guide you to the understanding through the Holy Spirit. I did not mean to sound offensive. I have decided that this group is not where I belong. I just read so much here that is not based on Scripture, and I have felt the sting of that, every time that I use the Bible as the basis of truth. I wish you well. I wish this group well. To the true Christian boylover, the Bible and prayer for understanding the Bible is the key to understanding and coping and dealing and facing your love. My prayers are with you. |
