Hi Stephen, Let me first say that these are some of the very same questions I have asked myself (usually with no way of getting any kind of an asnswer....until now) for most of my life. The last time I pondered these kind of questions I wound up trying to drink myself to death (which, for me, is entirely possible because I am a recovering alcoholic. I am VERY grateful now that I did not sucseed in doing so and that I am sober today!) Because of this fact (I cannot drink), and because of my program of recovery which is largely based upon my faith in God, I have had to satisfy these questions once and for all. My answer is thus: I am what I am, a boylover. I am sexually AND emotionally attracted to young boys. I have tried to change this by counseling, prayer, fasting, (drinking), etc, etc, etc... Nothing has worked to change me into a heterosexual and so I believe that nothing man or man's society, or man's science, can do will do this. I have concluded that if it is God's will that I become a heterosexual or homosexual or any other kind of sexual, then He, Himself must do it by miricle or whatever other means he might have. He has, so far, not done so and I suspect that He is probably not going to either. About sexual thoughts and things, let me first state again that I have chosen to be celebate...not have sex. I have been so for most of my life. I believe that if there is a sin in "wanting to do it" and then going home and masterbating instead, then so be it. I would rather have that on my head then possibly sinning against another person. (I am NOT going to get into any kind of debate as to wether sex with a minor is a sin....I have decided against having sex of this kind because I am not sure myself, nor am I certain wether it's a good idea even IF it is not a sin.) I also do not worry about masterbatio being a sin or not, to me it is a "tool" to use to keep me rom doing somethig else I believe MAY be worse. These are my beliefs on this subject.
