Hi Chris,

You know, when SGITNW posted this message several days ago and when he subsequently posted to say that boys who had experienced homosexual attraction or activity needed to have "demons cast out" I was sure that Christians here would post right away and tell him to stop with the hate talk.

I understand that you might find the whole situation tiring, but isn't it vitally important to stop the hate? If Christianity is about love and aceptance, how can Christians stand by while somebody spouts this sort of venom?

Many, many Christians have told me that the practitioners of homophobia aren't actually Christians and that they would speak up against them if they ever experienced such a thing.

Yet when self-professed Christians here actually say that homosexuals are possessed by demons, are evil, and cursed, almost nobody says anything.

I thank you very much for your post above, but I would humbly suggest to you that perhaps you would benefit a bit by re-examining your priorities a bit when it comes to your faith.

I don't think it's really possible to be about love while tolerating hate and hate talk against homosexuals. One can either love, IMO, and stand up and defend the objects of love, or one doesn't really love after all.

And the silent acceptance and subsequent, coincident encouragement of hate speech, it seems to me, is the antithesis of love and of what Christians have told me they stand for.

Anyway, that's what I think about it.

Jim
