The questions I was asking, on when a person's sexuality is fixed, came out of your statement that you beleive nobody is born gay.

For this statement to be taken as anything other than a statement of your personal faith, you must justify it in logical terms. If you wish to only convince Christians of your view, you may use Biblical texts for support, perhaps as your only support.

If you wish to convince the other 5 billion people on the planet, you will need to use science or some other readily accepted argument to support your thesis.

Personally, I do not know when sexuality is fixed. I know of one person (probably more than one) in real life whose sexuality was fixed well after age 30 (or perhaps changed but is not yet fixed - she is a lesbian now), and more than one non-heterosexual in real life whose sexuality was fixed early in or before puberty, possibly before birth. Genetic evidence is still outstanding, but according to some newspaper articles I've read over the years some preliminary studies indicate there may be a genetic factor.

By the way, for Christians (and I don't mean JimF3) good/evil deals with behavior and in some cases the thoughts you dwell on, not your sexual orientation per se. And if you ask some (I'm still looking into this myself) the verses in the Bible which appear to condemn all homosexual sexual contact may not be as all-inclusive as one might think (see some RDC threads the past few months, or ask Heather for her bibliography). A disclaimer: I'm not saying non-Christians can't do good or evil, I'm just saying that we (Christians) can't hold up the Bible and say "you are a man of God" or "you are a sinner". We can say to the kind, charitable non-Christian "you do good things" and to the non-Christian murderer "you did a bad thing (and you are going to jail for it)."
