Why do I do the things I do? For I tell you truly that I have sinned more than all of those written of in the Bible, and still I am made to go on. Oh how the end should come to me, and death be my demise. Why do I hear His voice and not obey? How could anyone, especially the One who is most holy, love and care for a wretch like me, who is beneath even the very definition of dirt. With my mouth I say I want to do good, but my feet are so quick to run to darkness. Does He still see me? Does He still love me? Now that I have fallen down again, will He come to me? Who is like God? Who can redeem like the Lord Most High? Oh, that all we sinful men would bow down and worship Him. Oh, that we would listen to His voice and obey His Word. Forgive me oh Lord God. Please take me back. Have mercy on me. |
