BoyLuv4Christ, I dont know if I am the right person to be giving you advice on a subject such as this, being that I also am a sinner, and have a weakness in the same area as you, but I have decided to give it a go. You say that you love God, therefore you believe in God, and that God is real. And if God is real, then He is the One true God, Jesus is His Son, and the Word of God is truth. The first thing you have to realize is that God loves you--yes you--the real you. There is no part of your inner most being that God does not see and know--thats one of the cool things about God, He sees us for all that we are, then seeing all He still says to us that He loves us. Second thing is, that God does not make mistakes, and He is the Lord, God and Master of all living things, of all creation. And for some reason, He has allowed you to be the youth pastor where you are, and He has allowed you to have met this boy. Now, in your mind, you might be thinking that you got into the youth job (sure because you love God too), but also because you wanted to be around boys--so you might feel like you manipulated yourself into that position, and as a result you feel even worse when you lust after those boys you are around, or even go to far and sin with them. Like I said before--God is Master of all creation! Knowing this, I ask you---can a man manipulate God Almighty? Do you really think, that if God really did not want you there, that He would allow you to be among His little ones? God has given you a gift to love (Love your neighbor as yourself), but like with all gifts of God, Satan will try to rob it from you, so he has tried to taint that gift of love with lust. Not only to rob the gift of love from you and try to destroy you, but he will also try to rob gifts from the boy and destroy the boy also. This is when we must stand up in the name of Jesus Christ and rise above every principality, every temptation, every darkness, every sin, and do what we know is right before the Lord Our God--to live a pure life, and keep a pure heart before God, not because we have to, but because it pleases Him who first loved us. You said , "Sometimes I am so near the end of it all..." You feel down, guilty... because you find yourself giving in to the sin in your heart,even though you know it is wrong--this makes you feel defeated and worthless--but that is a lie from the devil, for Jesus won the victory for you already on the cross. Your debt is paid in full--if you dont want to feel defeated and ... then dont do anything that would make you feel ashamed--dont compromise the things that you know are righteous and good. Not only could Satan use that to hurt you and the boy, but he could also use it to destroy your relationship with the boy, and all other boys for that matter. Satan knows that God has given you a gift, and he will do whatever he can to stop you from sharing that love, by getting you confused with the wrong kind of love ie.. sex, and etc... Sex is an act--it is not love. God is love. You want to share love with those boys?--then share God with them, which is your resonable service. I know whats in your mind, you are seeking that companion, the soulmate, ...we all want that companion. But I tell you truly, that the Lord God of Jacob is our companion. We must make Him, Jesus Christ, our best friend. If we do not have our relationship right with God, then all of our relationships here on earth will not be right. For He is the vine, we are the branches. You said, "I'm Desperately seeking the right way!" God said that if you seek truth, than you shall find it. If you love God, then God lives inside of you, therefore also as it is written--the Word of God is also written on your heart, since you also are a child of God. Knowing this, then in your heart,you already know the truth, and what is that good and perfect will of God concerning this issue in your life with this boy. All the other feelings that come to you which are not of this truth and perfect will of God, which are of yourself and this world, wi ll tell you to give in to this sin because it feels so right, it just cant be wrong . . . This is were we must remember that our walk with God is not a walk of feelings, but it is a walk of faith. Therefore anything that comes to you in the name of God, but it does not match up with the Word of God and that good and perfect will of God, then it is false, come to lead you into temptation. We all fall short of the glory of God my friend, the question is are you going to take the Lord's hand and get up, leave the world and desires of the world behind, or are you going to stay down where you have fallen? You are not alone--the Lord is with you always--and knowing all these things about you, He still says to you that you are indeed still His child, and He loves you very much. --LostBoy |
