I was glad to see some more posts from you, and that you decided to play it safe. You caught my attention when you said you were out to your church as a "safe and harmless pedophile." A couple people here are also out to one or more people at church, including myself. I would be interested in hearing more about your experience--how you came out, and how people reacted. Of course, please don't give out any info that could identify you or your church. My situation is that I have been meeting weekly with my pastor since late last fall. I first came out as homosexual, then a couple months later as a BLer. He has been more accepting than I could have imagined. In fact, he still recommended me to be a counselor at a church camp, where I lived in a cabin with five boys aged 10-11. It has helped a lot to have someone to talk to. You and I also have something else in common. I too am a teacher. I teach high school math in a conservative Christian school. But unlike you, I have always been reserved in general, and have always been scared to show boys any particular interest, which is sometimes bad for a teacher. I am gradually changing that. You said your "administration is notoriously touchy"; that can be taken two ways! :) At my school, the assistant principal recently at faculty devotions told us how important touch can be to our students (appropriate touch of course).
