d - I've encountered a different but parallel dilemma myself and wondered how to deal with it. The temptation is to just keep your mouth shut and to not rock the boat, yet any humor that is being generated by degrading others is wrong and that wrongness shouldn't continue. Even though my church condemns homosexual behavior (not homosexuals....just the behavior....hate the sin, love the sinner....) it is not right for them to have fun at the expense of anyone else, no matter what their view or belief. My church would encourage someone in your situation to speak up because we are ALL striving to be like Jesus. Would Jesus do that? You are not alone. Ben |
