Triste - I don't really think that you are specifically looking for answers to questions as much as you are expressing your emotions. And of course it is perfectly okay to do it here. Neither boys, nor God nor love for boys is bad. All of these things are good by their definition (God because he IS God) and the others because they are created by God. I believe that we are created with this 'thorn' in our flesh as a way of calling us out of the world. We are faced with a paradox, of having a desire and a need to love, but of not being able to see it through to fruition. Why would a happily married man with a wife and kids necessarily give up his whole life to follow Jesus as easily as a boylover who constantly struggles for answers. We bear an enourmous cross every day, yet we suffer much less than Jesus ever did. As painfully as life is as a BL (and you have my agreement that it is!) it forces us to see our daily need for God and for the redemption that came through the blood of Jesus. Again, I think that you need a hug more than answers right now :) You are NOT alone. Ben |
