Heather -
As you well know, from a biblical standpoint, sex between adults and minors is virtually unmentioned. Girls did marry at very young ages and there was no reason why a sexually mature child couldn't be wed at any age.

Such a discovery does not help boylove, however, the problem with which lies in the homosexual aspect (ie - same gender) of the phenomenon, not the age difference. Intergenerational relationships are controversial only from a societal standpoint (and sometimes with plenty of good reason).

While the bible does mention that the men of Rome were "inflamed with lust for each other" (Romans 1:27. In the same verse it says, "Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

The verse says that "men committed indecent acts" and received "in themselves" the penalty for their perversion. I take this to mean that the penalty for their lust was that they committed indecent acts with each other. The latter is actually a sin (straight from Leviticus). However the actual lusting had only the "internal" penalty (in themselves) of leading to a sin. The lusting itself does not appear to be a sin according to this passage, but simply a danger to something more deadly. Could it therefore be that homosexual lust (including for boys) is not actually a sin itself, but only carries the risk of sin if an act is committed?

You are not alone.

Ben
