True, honesty, qqq, Jim Finn, and others are functioning as prophets.

I don't beleive in unforgiveable sins. I don't remember Templeton, but cases like his are a tough nut to crack for me.

I believe in "once saved, always saved". I believe that either they were never saved to begin with (which is bogus unless Templeton is lying about his earlier life) or they are still saved, and just being prodigal.

Assume that when he left home, the prodigal son loved his father deep down. If the prodigal son had died before the famine and never repented, would his father have stopped loving him? No, I think the father would, as soon as he heard about his son's death, morn deeply, then if possible retrieve the body and rebury it in the family plot.

Given what you say about Templeton, I expect to see him in Heaven.

However, in the meantime, he's missing out on a lot.

It may interest you that I know someone on the net who is in a situation similar to Templeton - he loved the Lord, but when adversity came, his faith wavered and as far as he is concerned, he has no faith and no salvation (and doesn't care about the latter).

-David ("d", pausing to pray for the Templeton family)
