Hi Triple Q, I mean no personal offense to the poor soul who posted the message you replied to, but I can only see this as another attempt to "dig up" some obscure Bible passage and use it to pile needless guilt and self-loathing upon the intended reader...Christian boylovers. I wish this kind of thing would stop, but I don't see how it will when Christians insist on giving satan a big helping hand by listening to his lies instead of believing the truths in God's Word about who and what they REALLY are. We are holy children of God. Our salvation from the sin and corruption of this world and this life was purchased by God through the death and resurection of His only begotten Son, Jesus. This is something which can ONLY be obtained by accepting it as a gift, because it cannot be earned. God intended it this way and this is the only way it will work. All of God's word pertains to salvation, no matter how obscure it might be. We have to quit looking for "hell and damnation" in the Bible with our little magnifying glasses, and "step back" and take in what God really wants us to see....and believe. We have to quit giving our true advisary such an advantage over us. Satan loves to see defeated Christians who can only wallow around in thier own guilt and walk around with thier heads down and thier feet dragging, instead of believing the Word and being the successful witnesses for Christ that they SHOULD be. There is so much work to do in this lifetime, but it will never get done until we can finally understand the real victory we share with Christ. I'm sorry, Triple Q, I haven't posted here in a while, and now I just went off big time. It's just that I get so down when I see good Christian people do this kind of thing to themselves. It hurts them, and I guess it hurts me to watch them hurt themselves. Your brother in Christ, Chris |
