How am I blessed? I guess not at all. When all that I need is nothing I have. When nothing I want is all I can get. I let myself down. I drown in the guilt. I've built all the steps that keep me stumbling. I fumble for answers to explain it away. I play with the idea that I'm pure. Oh, sure, thats me alright! (at night, all alone, nevermind...) Oh God, how am I blessed? Could the rest of Your children be wrong? How I long to believe I'm this way by Your hand. That I stand here as true as the trees. Oh please, let me know. Show me signs, I’ll believe. My memory pours forth ten thousand boy smiles. And miles I've walked to ensure them. No pain, only joy. Oh boy, it's love, at it's best! Oh God, I know now, how I am blessed! BLues. |
