Thou shalt not kill. A commandment that was delivered into the hands of a murderer and given to a people who would go on to kill and kill and kill. Not to mention the fact that the phrase "an eye for an eye, a life for a life" is clearly mentioned not more than a few passages away. The Bible is full of inconsistencies... What matters is not the exact wording but the intent behind the wording. In my mind, the Bible is dedicated to LOVE. Can you say that you are living up to what the Bible wants you to live up to?
