Paul had a thorn in his side. Being a Christian doesn't always mean your temptations are removed (although it does happen). More frequently you have someplace to go - into the loving arms of God - when faced with temptation. I can't speak to what will happen if you have a son - too many unknowns, and I for one can't even speak to this issue. I think there are gender-selection techniques, and adopting a girl may be an option. Or perhaps the "incest taboo" will overpower your other instints and this will be a non-issue for you, in the same way that the "adultery taboo" makes any woman wearing a wedding/engagement ring instantly "unattractive" (in a romantic sense) to me. -David ("d", hoping if I meet your wife I see the ring before I embarrass myself) |
