Rio, you've got this idea of God being some bastard murdering his poor struggling, protesting son for the sake of some higher arbitrary purpose. That is not the case. Jesus allowed his own life to be taken because of his OWN love for us. Read John 10. "I lay my life down for my sheep. No one takes my life away from me, I give it of my own will". "God gave his only son"..."I lay down my own life"...it was a mutual and agreed act of sacrifice and giving, a declaration from each of their love for us. F.O.D. |
