Val, I'm not a BL, but am a Christian. I can't offer any advice to give your friend on any feelings he is going thru but I can tell you this, as a Christian friend, pray for him with him, and be the best Witness you've ever been to anyone. I myself, feel like when we have opportunities like this, we need to take and grab hold fast, having the opportunity to witness to someone is a blessing. A friend of mine at church told me once(during a difficult time I was having) that it was a blessing for her to help me out and for me not to take her blessing away. so not only pray for him, but there are so many other ways too that you can witness to this person b/c I also believe that witnessing to someone can be shown just in our actions and things we do.
