Hi BLues, I can't say that I give away literally EVERYTHING or anything, but I think I feel the same way you do about giving. I have noticed, especially lately, that material things just don't mean as much to me anymore. And not because I am losing my house, but because they just don't seem to have the same attraction to me now. It's kind of wierd, because I used to try to just get as much "stuff" as I could, because this is what made me happy. Now something entirely different makes me happy. You have a beautiful way of living, BLues. It's too bad more people can't (or won't) live that way. We can't take any of our stuff with us when we die, so why value it so much? I myself have never, ever sold a car to anyone. And at 39 yrs. old, I have had my share of used cars, but when I need a new one, ussually I just give away my old one. This is one area of my life I feel pretty good about. I guess we all have areas in our lives that need work, but because God is in our lives, constantly working on us, then I guess we really have nothing to wory about. We are all saints in this sense, in that God is always with us and working in our lives. Anyway, I am rambling now. Take care my friend. Love, Chris |
