Faith -
I have always believed that 'love' and 'attraction' are highly interweaved into each other at times, to the extent that separating them completely is impossible.

We all know for a fact that one can love deeply without that love being sexual. Love for parents, for siblings, for family and close friends all exists without any sexual component at all.

Because I have lived a highly sexualized life (having started masterbation from the age of 11) my perspective is skewed by my own experiences. In my own life, attraction has often led to sexual gratification (in the form of masterbation) and also of love. There are a number of boys in my life who I have been highly attracted to and fanatasized about but love has only been included in situations where I also had an emotional relationship with that boy.

In other cases, I have felt love for boys who I was never really attracted to either because they were too old or just were not attractive to me. In those cases, the love came more out of a parental concern and desire to nuture.

In stepping back and examining the different types of love that I have felt, I have to conclude that love can actually come from a number of different unrelated experiences and motivations. I do believe that a BL can love a boy in a concerned parental kind of way. The same love though can also come from attraction to a boy, whether or not there is actually sexual activity.

You are not alone.

Ben
