We need to see the whole process in a more connected way. That's exactly it! Too often we speak of salvation as if it's something that happened to me in the past, without seeing that it's also a process. Salvation has been made available to all through Christ's death and resurrection, we have been saved through entering into the new covenant, we are now being saved as we grow into maturity in Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and we will be saved when He comes again. (See Romans 13:11.) "Ye must be born again," but the point of Christianity is not to be born again, any more than the point of human existence is simply to be born. Babies are wonderful, but if that's the end of life, it's a cause for sorrow. In the spiritual realm, the parable of the talents may have some bearing here.
