Like many denominations, the official position of the Mennonite church is that homosexual behavior is sin, although gays should be loved and counseled to stay celibate. However, there are congregations that dissent from this view. They accept gays in committed relationships, and some of them have been expelled from their conferences for it. There is also a pro-gay organization for Mennonites that seems to be making progress at changing people's views. See the link below. |
