Elijah was in despair because he thought he alone had been faithful to God. Yes, many in Israel had become apostate, but there were 7,000 believers that Elijah had no clue about. Remember, it's God who knows the heart of man. There may be some (even in the "Ichabod" churches!) who worship God in the beauty of holiness. Dirk |
