Thanks for the link, d. I found a link the other day that some folks may want to check out. The base version is the King James, and there are a number of other public domain English translations available for download, such as the Darby, Yarmouth, Webster's, American Version. The incredible thing about this site is that it also offers Bible freeware in about 10 other languages, including Vietnamese, Russian, Ukrainian, German, French, Italian, Hebrew (OT only), Greek (NT only), and a bible dictionary. It's available for DOS, Mac, Win3.1, Win9x, and WinNT. Files are between 1 and 2.7 meg, so with a fast modem, the download time is quite reasonable. I haven't used the software a lot yet, but the user interface seems pretty straight-forward. Dirk |
