Christmas Grace

Hello folks: It has been quite a while. But I wanted to wish a very Merry Christmas to Christian boylovers (and supportive Christians) everywhere. There was a radiant boy born this day. It is interesting to note his mother was a minor; no more than fourteen or fifteen years old. He was born for us--poor ornery people like you and like I. What WOULD Jesus do? What would he say? I don't know what my Lord has in store for me. I don't know which actions he would approve and which not. But I do know--as sure as I know anything--that Jesus walks with me in my love for boys. In him I find a peace that would be impossible otherwise. A friend once told me, where love is present, God is present also. Know this is so. As some of you may remember, I came out to my minister over a year ago, in the midst of the greatest crisis of my life. He let me down. He failed me, and he failed to be the Christian he could and should be. This was so not because he failed to "agree" with who and what I was, but because he wouldn't even let me tell him. But, as I have trespassed against others and ask their forgiveness, so I do forgive him. I still very much wanted, though, to enter into a dialogue with a member of the clergy. Many months ago there was a newspaper story--I think I shared it here--that quoted a local minister saying some interestingly different things about pedophilia. So I took a chance contacted him, telling him that I was a boylover. Earlier this month, we finally met and talked. And it went wonderfully. His understanding and empathy is deeper than I could have imagined. My faith in God, in the church, and myself was strengthened immeasurably. I walked home from that meeting with my head held high. We will meet again next month, and each month after that. This is so important, so very important. It is how the church may become a headlight, instead of the taillight it has all too often been. In my Lord's love there is the sweetest, most amazing grace. This day, all Christians are boylovers, for they love this most radiant and beautiful of all boys, Jesus. --Pedro |
