Well, after leaving my post I started reading some of the other posts. I truly don't know what to say, but yet feel I could talk for hours if given the chance. I am grateful to you folks for having put together this forum. It is not so much for a place to just share a common enigma, shall we say, but that it is available for all to see that there are answers, and others to share them with. I would really like to see groups get together so we can really express our views, but I also see the possible dangers in it, from what others here have said. But it might be really something to try at some point. For if we are truly Born of the Spirit of God, believe totally in His Word, and are yielding fruits of the Spirit, then the world should be hating us, and persecuting us a Christians. So what should be so different that they hate us for other reasons. The important point is the difference between predisposition and acting it out. The finer points can then be dealt with, as I am finding out. But, thats for later. Again, Hi to all, and hope I can visit back often and maybe contribute and offer some hope from what I have experienced. Guess that's why we are here. In Christ, Gideon PS: I will go this far..(as they say, a trip of 10,000 miles begins with the first step.) I am from around the Philadelphia area. I would at least like to hear from folks that are close to this region. Maybe if you all began to slowly over time begin to relate to each other from your perspective areas, maybe one day soon you could improve on your trust and communications enough, that you could actually meet within your own church structure. Remember it only takes 2-3, and "He" is there in the midst of you. I'm not saying the church should be formed for just that reason, for sooner or later others would or might want to join. But imagine the church bond that could be forged from those coming from the same backround of sorts. Praying for each other and meeting on a regular basis. I know this is only a dream of sorts, but that's what the Christian life is all about. He gives us the desires "in" our hearts, and then, gives us the desires "of" our hearts. Because He is our desire...right? Dunno, what ya think? |
