Hi DJ Spike, I too, struggle with my faith. It has been a long road, but I believe that God blesses us as boylovers. We do not have the same life experiences as our straight or gay brothers and sisters, but we can live out positive, fullfilling lives in the name of Christ. My attraction and love for them grows within me everyday, pure and strong. It is important to recognize this love and attraction as part of who we are. Sexual attraction and identify is a key indicator of what makes us tick, so to speak. I want to be careful, however, when using the word "pure". For me it conjures up phrases like pure love, pure motives, etc. Purity is tricky. I want to be aware that my attraction is not all good and pure. God has given us the ability to make choices. We can choose to walk in his light, and we can choose to stray from his paths. We have a light and dark side. We have the power to do great good, and with that the power to do great evil. Often in our choices it is not readily obvious which side is at work. Glad to have you on the journey, Peace of Christ, Bach |
