Hello all - Just wanted to drop by and wish you all a very Happy New Year. I learned a number of years ago that setting one's expectations to be at a certain place in life by a particular date or by using a New Year as a time to 'turn around' can often lead to disappointment. We are all imperfect because we are not God, and we will continue to struggle in certain areas of our lives. For BLs, the struggles are obvious, but make no mistake: those who appear to be fine in the world are not always that way on the inside. God wants to hear our struggles guys, and he wants our confidence that with prayer he will help us to repent where we need to. This shouldn't just happen when the clock strikes midnight though. God wants a relationship with us every day. Ultimately, we ARE perfect in God's eyes because we are forgiven for our sins through the blood of Jesus. This makes us just as special, as loved and as treasured as the guy who has the perfect wife and family, the guy who has a billion dollars and the guy who saves people's lives in the operating room. We play a special role in the world and yes, we must also bear a special cross. May the New Millenium bring to you all a committment to look to Jesus for help, for strength and for love.
