I would agree with Don, mostly. Ours is an opportunity to do a lot of good in the world, to make someone who might otherwise go unnoticed feel loved and special. For me, my attraction is the bridge between me and the much broader topic - the discrimination against children in general. We in this society treat children as sub-human in so many ways, only one of which being our failure to recognize their sexuality and deep loving emotions as just as true and real as those of adults. We also deny them a voice in their own affairs regarding friendship, education, finance, politics... they are, in short, the property of their parents. Slaves. And that's wrong. I believe that the right man and boy, with one another's best intentions at heart and the determination to better the world, can have a healthy and committed sexual relationship just as a husband and wife would, and can use their love for each other to do good for those around them. Why God put this in your life? Who knows... for the same reason he makes everyone else unique and different in this world. Remember, it's not how you feel and think, and to some extent it's not even what you do in this life, that matters. It's /how/ and /why/ you do the things you do that defines who you are as a person, and how you will be received when you stand before God. Jerry |
