Hi Bruce:

Welcome to this forum. I would like to give you my take on this. First, we need to know that not all made equal. Each of us are unique, that is the way God has made us. The world would have it that man would be all the same in tastes in treatment to others, etc. But God had intended that from the beginning we were each going to be a unique creature of his.

Second, that the bible teaches that none of us are made equal in our attraction to the opposite sex.
Consider Matthew 19:12 "For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it." It is how we use that attraction that could cause problems.

Thirdly, because of our fallen nature we are not perfect human beings. In the area of your weakness if you depend on the Lord, you could find the Lord will turn it to your strength. Know that God strengthen us in the area of our weakness. Consider Gideon in the OT [Judges 6,7] where he was weak in the knees and definitely no warrior, God mightly used him to defeat an army of over 120,000. with only 300 men.

I myself have seen God mightly use me with children [especially boys] over the years to desire to follow Him. Remember to be sensitive, compassionate, and desiring their best. Look over the previous discussions here to give you direction.

Your friend,
Compassion...:=)
