Thanks everyone.....I have my own views on mormonism which mirror the comments already made. Just wanted to see some other opinions. The church I am going to now has a large middle school group (20) and the leader is a friend of mine so I decided to help out. We recently tried to have a discussion that the kids didn't seem really all that excited about (one boy said 5 minutes into the discussion "are we gonna have any games tonight".....I could barely contain my laughter). At one point the subject of other religions came up and several kids asked about mormonism, which leads me to believe this is something they really would like to talk about. If there's one thing about middle schoolers.....you gotta talk about something that interests them or their attention will go from the usual 5 minutes to 2 minutes. Don |
