Hi "Sheesh",

you're welcome to stay here and work out all you can about the Faith.

I always see the bottom line in salvation in words like
"If God is for us, who can be against us" Rom 8:31
or
"I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life." John 6:47

Believing in Christ is the main thing, and baptism is just a symbol of that. But God is more interested in the sincerityof your faith, and he doesn't mind if you somehow missed out on receiving the symbol of it. Think about the criminals who were crucified together with Jesus. One of them repented, and Jesus said "today you will be with me in paradise". Just like that! No baptism! Nice and simple.

Ultimately, it's about relationship. Coming back into relationship with God, getting to know who he is, what he wants. Salvation is ultimately about the question of whether you stand before God on the Day of Judgement, look him in the eye and answer the question that he gives you: "Do you love me?"

It's a one-on-one relationship, between you and God, that noone else can answer for. Not your mother, not the priest, no one but yourself can answer that question.

So there's no red tape. Just like in the Matrix. There Is No Spoon. But the reality which is there is at the same time terrifying and wonderful. You Are Loved.

Welcome to the ride of your life ;)
