Hello, Thanks for the kind words. The American Pledge is still recited in many schools, and many schools still will not blink an eye is a student chooses to pray privately, that, at least, is some comfort. My only experience, as a teacher, is that a student does not have to recite the pledge if thier religious beliefs prohibit it. I had a student who was Jahova's Witness. She would stand out of respect, but did not recite the pledge with the rest of the students. I also had to make accomdations for her in a Pledge assignment I did with my students, which I was happy to do. I am interested in your nick. Are you a musician or just a lover of music?
